About Property Bookmarks
A simpler way to organise your property search
Property Bookmarks is independently developed by Ah Ha Software Limited.
It is not owned by a property portal, estate agency group or advertising network. It has been built to help people manage their own property search more clearly, privately and efficiently.
The service grew out of many years of work with property websites, estate agent links, email alerts and website monitoring. Property searching often becomes messy: alerts arrive from different places, saved properties are scattered, and useful details can easily be lost.
Property Bookmarks brings those alerts, saved properties, notes and viewing details together in one private place.
Its purpose is to support the person searching for a property — not to replace portals, compete with estate agents, or sell attention to advertisers.
One place for property alerts
When you use Property Bookmarks, you can have a dedicated Property Bookmarks email address for your property search.
You can use that address when signing up for property alerts from portals, estate agents and property websites. When property-alert emails arrive, they can be viewed inside your Property Bookmarks account, rather like a simple email reader focused only on your property search.
Instead of losing property alerts in a normal inbox, you can keep them separate, organised and easy to review.
From emails to useful property bookmarks
Property Bookmarks helps turn property-alert emails and property links into a more useful working list.
Where possible, it identifies the property links in your alerts and records the key details needed to help you organise your search, such as the property title, price, location, description, status, main image link and agent information.
The aim is not to replace the original property portals or estate agents’ websites. When you want the full details, you can click through to the original listing.
The purpose of Property Bookmarks is to help you manage the search process around those listings.
Designed for decision-making
Finding a home is not just about saving links. It is about comparing possibilities, rejecting unsuitable properties, arranging viewings, recording contact with agents and gradually narrowing the search.
Property Bookmarks is being built around that real process.
You can classify properties using simple states, such as:
- new items waiting to be reviewed;
- possible properties;
- good properties worth considering;
- favourites;
- archived or hidden properties that are not currently relevant.
This makes it easier to move quickly through large numbers of alerts without losing track of the properties that matter.
More than a single favourites list
Many property websites allow you to save favourite properties, but those favourites usually stay inside that one website.
Property Bookmarks is different because it is intended to work across your wider property search.
A property search can involve several portals, several estate agents, direct alerts, shared links, follow-up emails, notes, viewings and changing prices. Property Bookmarks aims to act as the personal workspace for all of that activity.
Built from experience
Property Bookmarks has grown out of long-running work by Ah Ha Software Limited in monitoring property-sector websites, checking links and building visual directories and archives.
That background has shown how often property websites, links and listings change. It has also shown how useful it can be to organise property information visually and practically, rather than treating it as a flat list of links.
Property Bookmarks applies that experience to the individual house hunter’s problem: keeping control of the search.
Private to your search
Property Bookmarks is intended as a personal organisation tool.
The information in your account is there to help you manage your own property search. It is not intended to turn your saved properties into a public property portal, and it is not designed to republish estate agents’ or portals’ listings as a competing public database.
When you want full property details, you should always click through to the original source.
Useful while the search changes
Property searches change quickly. A property may be too expensive one week and worth reconsidering if the price drops later. A property may be hidden from normal view but still worth noticing if its status changes. A viewing may move a property from “possible” to “favourite”, or from “favourite” to “not suitable”.
Property Bookmarks is being developed to help with that changing process, not just to store static bookmarks.
Who is behind Property Bookmarks?
Property Bookmarks is operated by Ah Ha Software Limited, an independent UK software business.
It is part of a wider set of property and website-monitoring projects, including tools that track estate agent websites, property-sector links and changes across the built environment.
Property Bookmarks is currently at an early stage and will continue to develop. The goal is simple: to make the practical work of finding a property easier, clearer and better organised.
In short
Property Bookmarks helps you:
- keep property-alert emails separate from your normal inbox;
- collect property links from different sources;
- organise possible homes in one place;
- rate, hide, archive and revisit properties;
- keep notes about viewings and contact;
- click through to the original listings when needed.
It is a practical tool for managing the property search itself — the part that happens after the alerts start arriving and before a final decision is made.
